AIOBilling is licensed by the License Center at license.faruk.bd, like every faruk.bd product. One key belongs to one domain. The script talks to the License Center when you activate the key and then about twice a day. If the License Center cannot be reached, the script keeps working through a grace window, so a network problem never stops your billing.

Packages: by number of clients

The licence decides how many clients the installation may hold. You pay for the size of your business, not for the number of servers or staff.

All packages run on your own server with the full source code, include every free gateway, registrar and provisioning module, e-mail support and updates (the monthly ones while active), and a 30-day money-back guarantee. The Business packages add live chat support with priority replies. The Owned licence is paid once, lasts for ever, and comes with 12 months of priority support and updates and free installation on request. Prices can change; the product page on faruk.bd is always current.

What counts as a client

The script counts the client records in the database (the Clients allowed row on the Licence page shows the limit and the number "now"). Contacts and sub-accounts are not clients. When you reach the limit, adding a client, by an administrator or by registration or checkout, answers The licence allows N clients. Upgrade the licence to add more. Nothing is deleted and nobody who is already a client is locked out. Upgrade the package, or delete old client records you no longer need, and adding works again.

An installation with no key at all, or one whose licence is not in order, may hold 5 clients to try things. The key AIOB-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX is in your account at license.faruk.bd under My Licences, together with the package, the domain, the expiry and the addons.

Bound to the domain

The key is bound to the host name of the installation, for example billing.example.com (a leading www. is ignored). Activation sends the key, the domain and address, the AIOBilling and PHP versions, and the number of clients. The key then refuses to work on another domain.

If you change the domain of the installation, the next check reports Registered to another domain; the script then tries once to bind the key to the new name by itself. If the License Center refuses, release the licence from the old domain or ask support to change the domain on the licence.

Setup → Licence

Enter the key here (or in step 4 of the wizard). This page is one of the few admin pages that always opens, even when the licence is not in order.

Buttons: Check now asks the License Center at once, for example after you bought an addon. Release licence frees the key from this domain so it can be used elsewhere. Change key (the form below) takes a new key. A key that is refused never replaces a licence that still works. The Licence server card holds the License Center address; leave it empty. The dashboard also shows a Licence widget with the package, expiry and client limit.

The states

• Active - everything is fine.
• Active (could not reach the License Center lately) - the last good answer is more than two days old. Everything works until the grace window ends (7 days after the last good check). Check that the server can reach license.faruk.bd over HTTPS.
• Expired - the licence time or the grace window ran out. Renew, then press Check now.
• Registered to another domain - the key is bound to a different domain.
• Suspended, Revoked, Invalid key - the License Center said no. Read its message on the page and contact support.
• Not registered - no key entered.

While the state is neither Active nor in grace, every admin page except the dashboard, Setup → Licence and sign-out sends you to the Licence page with This installation has no active licence. Activate it to use the admin area. The client area, orders already placed and the cron are not blocked by the gate, so clients can still pay invoices.

The heartbeat

The cron job license checks the key every 12 hours. Any signed-in page view also checks quietly if the last check is older than 12 hours. See Automation.

Premium plugins and themes

Premium plugins and themes (SMS & WhatsApp Notifications $39, Nova Admin Theme $29, Lumen Client Theme $29) need their addon on the licence. Buy it at faruk.bd, press Check now, and the addon code appears under Addons on this licence. A premium plugin without its addon refuses to switch on with Premium - needs the "..." addon on your licence, and a premium theme without its addon falls back to the default theme. Moving to another domain

1. On the old installation open Setup → Licence and press Release licence.
2. Install AIOBilling on the new domain (see Installing) and enter the same key. The new domain is bound.
3. Move the database and the uploads/ folder, or restore a backup, as described in Updating.
